Downtown Dubai is Emaar's flagship development, built on a 500-acre site that was formerly a military camp and centred on Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. It includes Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and neighbourhoods such as the Opera District, Burj Plaza and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, home to a mix of apartments and hotels. Dubai Mall alone holds around 1,300 stores. We see it suit tenants and buyers who want the city's best-known skyline and retail address, with the Burj Khalifa metro station on site.
