Sharjah Master Developer Arada Strengthens Its Fitness Business

Expanding Beyond Villa Communities and Armani Homes to Dominate the UAE’s Fitness Sector

Dubai – Arada, the esteemed UAE master developer renowned for its luxurious villa communities and Armani residences, is diversifying its portfolio by significantly expanding its footprint in the fitness industry.

The Sharjah-based developer has acquired three prominent UAE-based gym brands in a strategic move aimed at establishing Arada as the fastest-growing and most innovative operator in the country’s fitness, sports, and wellness sector.

The newly acquired brands include FitnGlam, a ladies-only club; The Platform Studios, a boutique exercise hub; and Fitcode, a recently launched health club. These brands will be seamlessly integrated into Arada’s existing fitness and wellness division, which already manages six Wellfit-branded fitness clubs across Dubai and Sharjah.

With these acquisitions, Arada’s fitness and wellness division is now valued at AED 1 billion. The division oversees a total of 15 flagship and standard-scale gyms and studios, boasting a combined membership of 30,000.

Looking ahead, Arada aims to expand its fitness division to 40 locations by the end of 2027, targeting a total membership of 100,000.

As part of the acquisition, George Flooks has been appointed CEO of Arada’s fitness and wellness division. Flooks brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as CEO of one of the UAE’s largest fitness chains and his management of over 160 clubs in the UK, which contributed to annual revenues of AED 700 million.

Commenting on the expansion, Flooks stated, “Arada has already established itself as the market leader in this space here in the UAE. I look forward to building on the division’s existing achievements, integrating these new exceptional brands, and delivering on our ambitious growth strategy.”
