Aldar Announces Dh1.75 Billion Mixed-Use Project In Expo City Dubai

Abu Dhabi-based developer Aldar continues to expand its presence in Dubai with the announcement of a Dh1.75 billion mixed-use development in Expo City. This news follows the recent unveiling of Expo City’s new master plan, positioning the area as a future hub for large-scale, mixed-use projects.

The new development is a joint venture with Expo City Dubai and will feature six buildings, becoming a central part of the new master plan. These buildings will be situated next to the Dubai Exhibition Centre, which is set for a Dh10 billion expansion. The exhibition space will grow from 58,000 square meters to 180,000 square meters by 2031, making it the largest indoor exhibition and events venue in the region.

This announcement marks a significant step in opening up Expo City to other developers, similar to the development model seen in Dubai South. It reinforces Expo City and Dubai South as the city’s new growth corridors.

The Aldar project will include a mix of residential, office, and retail spaces, with a total gross floor area of 103,000 square meters. Upon completion, Aldar will manage the assets of the development.

Aldar has already launched two residential communities in Dubai and secured deals for commercial and office properties. Additionally, the developer confirmed plans to build a flagship office project along Shaikh Zayed Road.

Talal Al Dhiyebi, Group CEO of Aldar, emphasized the rapid development of Expo City, noting its strategic location at the heart of Dubai’s trade and transportation hubs. He added, “Our partnership is formed on shared values, and we see Expo City as a key partner in our ongoing expansion in Dubai.”

Until now, all developments within Expo City have been led directly by the master developer, with the area also home to the legacy structures from Expo 2020.
