The Tower Will Also Include the First Trump Hotel in the UAE.
Dubai: Dar Global is moving quickly to build a Trump Tower in Dubai. This will be the first Trump Tower project to start after Donald Trump becomes US president again on January 20.
Dar Global’s CEO, Ziad El Char, is keeping the location and other details of the Dubai project secret for now. “We are planning to launch in the second quarter of 2025. Launching in the first quarter of 2025 would be too rushed,” said El Chaar. “The location will be in the larger Downtown area, with views of the Burj Khalifa and the sea.
“I can tell you that this will be one of the most famous towers in the area.” (This is impressive for a place that already has many outstanding buildings.)
The project, costing over Dh2 billion, will also have the first Trump hotel in Dubai.
When it launches, it will be the result of efforts over the past 20 years to build a Trump Tower in Dubai. A project was announced on Palm Jumeirah, but it was canceled due to the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. Since then, there have been other Trump-branded projects in Dubai, but never a tower with the Trump name.
Jeddah Gets Its Own Trump Tower:
Dar Global is speeding up projects with The Trump Organization. Last week, the Trump Tower in Jeddah was launched. By 2029, it will be a 200-meter high building with 47 floors and 500 luxury apartments priced between SR4 million and SR50 million.
The project cost is expected to be around SR2 billion, with a built-up area of about 1.5 million square feet.
When asked if the development cost is high, even for a premium project, El Chaar said: “Don’t just look at the height of 200 meters. It’s a large project on 120,000 square feet of land in one of the best areas in Jeddah. It’s in the heart of the Corniche area, very close to the Formula 1 race area.”
The land was bought last June. Work on the site will start next month. This adds to the busy schedule of construction projects in Saudi Arabia.
“There will also be the first private members’ club with the Trump name at the Jeddah Tower,” said El Chaar. “It will have all the amenities you would expect from such places in New York or London.”
More Trump Projects Coming to Saudi Arabia:
The partnership between Dar Global and The Trump Organization has more projects planned in Saudi Arabia. There will be another high-rise in Riyadh and a community built around a special golf course.
“We are always looking for new projects that deserve the Trump brand and will satisfy future owners and users,” said El Chaar. “We want to keep working with The Trump Organization on more projects. They will decide if they want to. Right now, the focus is on starting the projects in Riyadh.”
